Category: Linwave Technology

Miniature Ku BUC is has been nominated by Karl McCartney as part of the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group Project to highlight manufacturing capability in each local constituency.

"This is a great example of British High-Tec engineering. The product is used in Satellite News Gathering and military satellite communications. The Upconverter takes in a low frequency microwave signal and upconverts it to a higher microwave frequency. A built in power amplifier then boosts this signal so that it is of a high enough level that it can be transmitted to the satellite (to form the uplink). Unlike the majority of satellite communication systems which use frequency converters, this product offers a very compact units with both the upconverter and power amplifier integrated into a single product".

Chris Carr, CEO noted "It's great for Linwave to be selected for the  Lincoln area and encouraging to see significant contributions from within our Microwave Electronics sector, reflecting there is still a significant technology foundation in the UK to support economic recovery.
