Ceravision launch High Intensity light source
Category: Linwave Technology
Microwave driven light source
Microwave Marketing and manufacturing partner Linwave Technology are proud to announce successful deployment of solid state source technology in Ceravision Continuum™2.4 lamp system, a microwave driven, electrodeless, high intensity discharge lamp, powered by our proprietary R-EFF™ power system, with unique engineering, environmental and societal benefits.
The Ceravision Continuum™2.4 lamp system features include:
- No mercury. There are no special bulb disposal requirements at eventual end of life and bulb is fully RoHS compliant.
- Simple bulb chemistry. The content of the bulb can be tuned to modify the spectral output of the light emission to suit multiple applications.
- Solid State Microwave or magnetron power sources. Various technologies are qualified to create a compact, robust, highly reliable product that can meet the most demanding of customer applications.
- Simplicity of manufacture. Every key component can be multi-sourced, and low cost assembly can take place in any part of the world.
- Extended lifetime. The Continuum™2.4 lamp system offers significant operating lifetime improvements.
- Low Cost. The Bill of Materials and assembly processes are designed to minimise unit cost.
- System Efficiency. The R-Eff™ microwave interface unit is the innovative component created and patented by Ceravision. It allows microwave power to be efficiently delivered into the bulb, eliminating the need for feedback circuitry, reducing power losses, and minimising system cost.
